Yajaida Vasquez- Lead Vocalist
She could write a book about her journey so far, but I think she's probably too busy.. With roots in the Dominican Republic. Yajaida (pronounced Ya hi duh, yes there will be a quiz) moved to Miami and finished high school there. How she wandered over here, I'm not quite sure, but we're glad she did. Like so many great vocalists, Yajaida sang in church and didn't start singing out in public until a few years ago. You'd never know that now. Blessed with an epic voice and spot on intonation, Yajaida also brings the soulfulness of her church roots to our music. Oh yeah, she has her own practice as a nurse practitioner, too. along with a being a mother . Apparently, she has no need for sleep.
Mark Gonzales - Keyboards, Vocals
He's been playing some sort of instrument since he was five years old. That was a very long time ago. Very. Seriously.
Mark's preferred styles are jazz, smooth jazz, and r&b/soul, although he will play just about anything if you're feeding him dinner. He was a fixture of the Pittsburgh music scene in the 1990's, playing with three award winning bands, and has appeared on bills with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Tina Turner and Angela Bofill to name a few. Mark writes ansd arranges as well, and is a member of ASCAP. Mark's vocal talents lend a male voice to Midnight Sun , where he most enjoys the music of Soul artists like Stevie Wonder , Hall and Oates, and many others.
